Fatih Ozturk & Fatih Sinan Simsek
JORDAN artbook

Un-commissioned | Professional

Why did you make this work:
A very short time ago, Fatih Sinan Simsek and i had an opportunity to work on a project regarding Jordan and we decided to create an artbook and an animation film based on our works related to the project. We published 10 editions with a sticker packs of the artworks on Jordan.

How was the illustration used:
First of all, we created all these artworks as stickers, paste ups, stencils and murals. Then we focused on the feeling that Jordan's colors, Arabic patterns, history and the connection between Ottoman and Jordan in history. We decided to use all these artworks to make an animation film that we write, which inspired by Lawrence from Arabia, Hejaz train and railway, Fahrelnissa Zeid.

How did you make this work:
This project started as hand drawn sketches of ideas about Jordan and digitally finalized, printed as a book and stickers. When packaging all materials together we also made a sticker of the QR code of the Jordan film and sticked it on package.
