Box of Happiness

Design Product & Packaging

Why did you make this work:
Vilans asked me to design a "Box of Happiness" for employees in healthcare. The content of the box helps employees to explore what brings them happiness in their work environment. In the artwork I aimed for a positive/growing vibe juxtaposed with the reality of working in healthcare with its distress and fragility.

How was the illustration used:
The illustration was screen-printed on a magnetic box. I designed it so the top and the front side are illustrated. I did the whole concept, from choosing which kind of box (down to earth with a luxury feel, you van feel the magnets snap!), the idea to use screen print and supervising production.

How did you make this work:
The colours used are the corporate identity, which I tweaked a little to stand out on the Kraft background. The illustration was screen-printed on the boxes by De Kijm & Zonen in The Hague NL.
