Why did you make this work:
I wanted to create a portfolio image as an homage to family and to my father. It portraits time and the relationships between generationsas a cyclical thing. It doesn't portrait necessarily me of course, and I think it emotionally reosnates with us, o matter at what point ofour lives we are.

How was the illustration used:
The image was used as a portfolio piece but is also currently being sold as a limited art print.

How did you make this work:
Digitally using a tablet and Photoshop.

Biography:
Daniel Garcia professional illustrator with a strong fondness for political, social and human issues. He was born in Lisbon, Portugal and after graduating in architecture, he has lived in several places since. For the past 10 years he has collaborated with publications and companies across four continents and his work has been published in magazines like the National Geographic Traveller, GQ, Newsweek, Nikkei Asian Review and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, among others.
