Bart D’Angelo
One Hundred Years of Solitude

Un-commissioned | New Talent

Why did you make this work:
Narrative is one of my centers as a creative person. Everything I make spins around it to a certain extent. With this project, that I briefed for myself, I was trying to explore the way images can collaborate with the text in expressing that atmospheric landscape that the book evokes in the reader.

How was the illustration used:
These Illustrations are meant to accompany the text, facing it within the book.

How did you make this work:
Mixed media, mostly printmaking, including the use of different papers and textures. Digital techniques were also important.
