Why did you make this work:
I wanted to spread awareness and make light of the issue of bushfire emergency in Australia and the climate emergency we are currently facing. More than 8000 koalas have already perished in the fires in NSW alone, and this figure is feared to be even higher as fires continue. I wanted to make a powerful image that evokes empathy for these creatures, that desperately need our help.

How was the illustration used:
This gif would be used to share on social media to advertise for donations to charity organisations such as Wires wildlife rescue, WWF, Adelaide koala rescue, Red Cross AU and many more. Just by sharing the post on social media it helps raise awareness and funds for these amazing charities.

How did you make this work:
Digitally rendered using the new animation feature on Procreate on an iPad Pro.
