Usage: Situated in Newham Centre for Mental health, the wall was commissioned by the East London Foundation Trust to encourage people to get involved in the process of Quality Improvement. The 25ft hand painted mural was created with local NHS service uses, carers, and volunteers. It depicts a scene of quality improvement on The Greenway, a raised footpath and cycleway that cuts right through the heart of urban Newham, East London.

Process: The concept for the mural was born from the ideas of local NHS service uses, carers, and volunteers. Using their vision and the guidance of the Quality Improvement team, the design was developed and refined over the later half of 2016. The image is hand painted with the assistance of some of the service uses, carers, and volunteers. It depicts a scene of Quality Improvement on The Greenway, a raised footpath and cycleway that cuts right through the heart of urban Newham, East London.

Key Brief Ideas: Quality Improvement is all about making things better. It is an ongoing culture of care that aims to provide best possible experience for all NHS service users, carers and staff.
