The work covered an entire wall and depicts the interrelationship of the global cotton trade in the 18th century. From the left we see the African slaves working on the cotton plantations in the American south, the image then merges to the industrial workers in the cotton mills of England, then finally the illustration blends in to the Indian workers weaving the cotton thread.
