Why did you make this work:
This is a self-initiated project by me and children's book author, Anne-Sophie Tilly. Our challenge was to create a book that teaches young children color through a visit of a museum of portraits combining two of my interests, drawing dogs and art history. My particular challenge has been combining my drawing style with that of a famous artist to create a recognizable "painting".

How was the illustration used:
The illustrations are to appear in a children's book about colour. The reader discovers at the end, that a cat, Niki (after Niki de Saint Phalle) who lives in the studio, decides to create a self-portrait using all the colours that she discovers.

How did you make this work:
100% digital and lots of research about each artist.
