"Im Gebüsch" is a personal work and was inspired by the story of the Hartlepool monkey.

How did you make this work:
The work was drawn and cut in a wood plate and printed on paper using a printing press. Afterwards I scanned the print and did a digital collage.

Biography:
Rosanna Merklin was born in Berlin and studied illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Leipzig. Since 2013 she lives in Berlin again, where she specialized in the technique of woodcut printing.
