Daniel Stolle
Fabmobil Reportage Illustration

Commissioned | Professional

Why did you make this work:
In 2018, I joined art and media collective The Constitute and their project Fabmobil to capture it in reportage style drawings. The idea was to capture anything that happens in and around the bus, live on location, in the moment. The drawing process was recorded in procreate on an iPad, and then posted along with a field-recorded audio track on the same day to the project's Instagram feed.

How was the illustration used:
Instagram, later in promotional material for the Fabmobil

How did you make this work:
The Fabmobil is a bus converted into a rolling Fab Lab - a maker space with various tools, that allows you to make 'almost anything'. There are computers, 3D-printers, laser cutters, 3D-scanners and -glasses and, not least, a traditional workshop. It has been built by German art and media initiative The Constitute.
