Why did you make this work:
To create a large scale illustration for the wall of the stairwell at the new Foot Locker flagship store in Rome, featuring elements of Roman architecture and Italian culture, as well as sneakers from the brands that Foot Locker sells, and some characters to inject a little fun. The piece would lead up to the women's and children's floor so needed to be unisex, and be cool but accessible.

How was the illustration used:
On the walls of the stairwell in the Foot Locker flagship store in Rome.

How did you make this work:
The complicated shape of the canvas had to be taken into account, working around such things as doors and signs. I created some characters based on shoe laces, that could interact with the other elements and tie the piece together, then used sneaker boxes as a base for some of the other objects. The finished illustration was applied to the walls as a vinyl wrap.
