Why did you make this work:
No real brief with this one. I was given the manuscript and made some sample work based off of work I had already in my portfolio. There was a period of back and forth with the creative director at Egmont until we got to a place we were all happy with the work and the rest of the book moved pretty organically after that.

How was the illustration used:
printed childrens picture book, hardback and paperback.

How did you make this work:
The book was made digitally with some hand made textures. For me what was most important when making this book was to make sure that the image communicated what was intended and would be a book id enjoy reading.
