How did you make this work:
This cover illustration is my take on depicting the soul of Beijing, the birth place of China’s rock music. It’s inspired by the iconic Beijing-born rock musician Cui Jian’s best known song “A Piece of Red Cloth”, which was written in late 1980s, and soon became an enlightenment of that generation. It’s also tribute to all local artists who reflect on the times, and take the courage to speak out.

Biography:
Ning was born and raised in Beijing China, at the age of 17 she moved to Canada, where she studied digital media arts and started her career as a designer. After years of working in advertising industry, she now works as a freelance illustrator. She loves music, movie and contemporary arts, and is willing to put her passion for them into her works. Ning is also a painter working in oil on canvas.
