Payback 2020 has opened this week, and this year DACS has launched a brand-new website, making it easier than ever for artists, beneficiaries and picture libraries to claim royalties. Since 1999, they’ve paid out £55 million in Payback royalties.

Payback is an annual scheme which pays artists for the use of artworks that are published in UK books, magazines and shown on TV.
In 2018, thousands of artists and their representatives claimed a share of over £5 million in Payback royalties. Illustrtaors were many of those.
