Homer’s Iliad is a tragic tale of love, power, war, betrayal and loss. Gillian Cross’s retelling of this poem is supported by artwork from Neil Packer. Taking over two years to produce this illustrated tale is inspired by a variety of historical sources and is full of skilful techniques.

Wielding pen, brush and colour, Neil has produced an array of vivid and haunting paintings representing the classical heroes in their tragic and fateful conflict. A companion book to The Odyssey produced by Cross and Packer which was exhibited at the Illustration Cupboard Gallery two years ago.

The Illustration Cupboard Gallery is currently holding 40 first edition copies of The Iliad signed by both Neil Packer and Gillian Cross.

Please contact the gallery about purchases.
