A collection of students and professional artist/illustrators from the Children’s Book Illustration MA course in Cambridge are putting on an exhibition solely in aid of raising money in support of relief efforts in Japan, following the earthquake, tsunami.

The exhibition is taking the form of a fantastic collection of original pieces presented as postcards which will be sold anonymously and at the same price. In this way, anyone may become the owner of a piece by a well-known illustrator, and everyone will be able to buy original artwork to enjoy!

The MA Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art has strong links with Japan: Japanese students come here to study, and staff have travelled there to teach so this is something that is close to our hearts. All the money raised will got to the charity ‘Teachers For Japan’ which they feel is a very fitting charity as it is the children of Japan who will benefit.

About the charity: Teachers For Japan is a nonprofit, all volunteer charity initiative dedicated to the cause of rebuilding education in northern Japan in the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami of March 11th, 2011.
